NEW DECADE, NEW STRATEGIES FOR INDIA

Apostle Chris Peterson and a team of 15 from the ApostleNet Australia network on Sunday returned from two weeks of fruitful ministry in the great nation of India.

The trip encompassed a variety of ministry initiatives, including four apostolic pastors and leaders conferences, one of which was an exciting opportunity to assist a movement of 700+ churches transition into an apostolic model.  Assisting entire movements transition to apostolic models through consultancy, leadership training and conferences is an exciting initiative and already there are a number of movements we are communicating with regarding doing this with them in the future.  Another of the conferences was held in Manipur, in the north east of the country, and it was the first time a conference of this type had ever been held in the region.  Once again this trip saw incredible breakthrough on a number of levels including the business and market place arenas.

In addition to these conferences, the 2010 youth festival was also held in West Hyderabad, where despite rising tensions in the state, thousands of young people from across the state of Andhra Pradesh came to be powerfully impacted by God.  The youth team from Acts Church International led Praise & worship while Dave Dawkins was a keynote speaker, along with other local Indian youth and church leaders.  Over 700 young people committed themselves to be trained and equipped for service in the Kingdom of God, and already the testimonies are pouring in of changed and transformed lives.

We are now looking at how we can train these young people on an ongoing basis, with regional training intensives throughout Andhra Pradesh a likely strategy to implement.
