FRONTLINE REPORT:  MAY 2010

Harvest Is A Time Of War.  Judges 6:3

I have recently been reading Sir Winston Churchill's speeches during world war two.

He was asked his policy - he said it was to wage war, by sea, land and air, with all our might and with all the strength God can give us.  He was asked his aim.  "I can answer in one word.  Victory.  Victory at all costs."

There are seasons where we have an awareness arise in our hearts that we are in a war.  A spiritual battle of huge proportions.  Against an enemy, "Diabolos" the devil.  Full of deception, intimidation, weapson sharpened and shaped to discourage and distract us from our cause of Kingdom dominion.

I believe it is time to make sure that we take up and put on the, "Whole Armour of God so that we may stand in the evil day."

As the church of the 21st century grasps the revelation of the Kingdom message proclaimed by Jesus and embraced by the New Testament church, this emerging church is confronting an ever increasingly intense opposition from Satan and his demonic forces.

The apostolic grace necessary to fulfill the apostolic commission must be received.  This grace Paul said was sufficient.  A grace that will propel the church with a sense of sentness or apostolic mission that cannot be stopped.

In the last year there have been many battles faced of the kind that can make us wonder "is it worth the fight?"  We have seen personal battles, families facing great odds, health problems, even untimely death such as the passing of the assistant pastor at Mareeba Tom Kuiters, and last week Carol my wife struck down with a heart attack but praise God she is rising up in the healing grace of the Lord.  Among such challenges there are significant victories.

As I close this encouragement to all those receiving this newsletter - "guard your heart diligently for out of it flow the issues of life."  Let faith come by the word and build yourself up praying in the Holy Ghost.

As I have said many times there are three levels of battle.  The battle in our hearts, the battle in the heavens or the spiritual realm, then the battles played out in the sphere of our ministry which I call battles for the harvest.

The most intense area of conflict is within the heart, we must maintain victory within us.  If this is done, then the capacity to rise and conquer the other areas is guaranteed.

In the words from Jeremiah 2:18 "Let us rise and build, so they strengthened their hands for this good work."  God bless you as you rise in faith to reap the harvest.

Your brother in Chris,

Chris Peterson

AROUND THE AUSTRALIAN NETWORK

Warwick

Pastor Brian and Amanda Northdof have invited apostlenet to partner with them to see Kings City Church Warwick become established  as a powerful Kingdom influence. We have been in a number of times and with the support of Ivan and Ros Wadock from Goondiwindi are working to see a breakthrough with a strategy to work on building a team to establish a significant testimony in this strategic place.

Goondiwindi

Ps Ivan and Ros Waldock are seeing great blessing flow in this work. ApostleNet has been working in partnership with them for some years now and as they have worked on building strong relational foundations undergired by a strong prayer base. The outcomes are exciting as souls are constantly being added to the church as well as being people being filled with the Spirit. A culture of faith and generosity are another mark of  the kingdom vision in this growing church.

Esperance

Esperance Christian Family is a growing apostolic church with a passion for missions and church planting as well as a considerable burden to minister to leaders. I had the privilege of going there recently with Pastor Daryl Roos from Mereba Queensland and Paul Camac an emerging building prophet. The purpose was to stand with the Eldership of this great church to release Pastor Dean Smith to the greater field in and apostolic roll. Dean has felt for some time the apostolic calling on his life and he was commissioned under apostolic blessing to fulfill the call to be an apostle in the sphere of his relationships in Australia and particularly in Africa where they are seeing breakthroughs on the right hand and on the left.

Mereeba

I was in north Queensland with this church which is seeing amazing developments and growth and the purchase being processed of their new centre. The day I left for the Easter Convention a tragedy struck with the passing away of the assistant pastor, Pastor Tom Kuiters. We extend to his wife Mary and family our condolence at this time of great loss; please pray for this family as they process the pain of this unexpected passing of their father and husband.

Prayer Requests

Pastor David Gibson from Kangaroo Island has had a series of physical attacks over the last months. Please pray for his return to full health as he and his wife Eunice lead this powerful testimony in a very needy community.

Pastor Mitchael Curtis and Sharon are doing a significant work for the Kingdom in Kilmore. With the great door of opportunity is the usual opposition. Please particularly pray for financial breakthrough, as this difficulty is a source of delay as they seek to extend the kingdom both locally and beyond. The attack is more than the usual financial battle but needs our prayer and support to see the reversing of the curse.

Please pray for Carol's speedy recovery from a recent heart attack and that in this season for God to give fresh clarity to Chris and Carol as to their particular role in leading this apostolic network.

INTERNATIONAL REPORTS

PNG

Lyndon Westbrook and Tom Lew, leaders from Acts Church have just returned from Papua New Guinea.  Our role is to serve particularly the AOG church there, where we work with the National Executive Council led by Pastor Tony Dalaka.  Tom & Lydon not only ministered in spiritual things, but are taking a vital role to strengthen the administration and finance management of the fellowship, to prepare & position the church to be released to give spiritual leadership in the nation.

FIJI

Mitchael Curtis has reported open doors and great hunger in Fiji, among leaders for the Kingdom message and teaching on the five-fold.  The apostolic strategy is to raise up the church with grace, wisdom and authority releasing it from it's religious confines and constraints to courageous action.

AFRICA

Dean Smith, the apostolic leader from Esperance Christian Family, is moving powerfully in southern Africa.  He has just returned from a very successful ministry tour, seeing the favour of God upon all they are doing ministering to leaders and connecting also with the political leaders in these regions.  This continent is ripe and ready for the ministry God has laid upon Dean's heart.
