Pastor Dean & Heather Smith, Esperance Christian Family, Esperance Western Australia

Dean & Heather Smith minister in the Western Australian seaside town of Esperance, 750 kilometres south east of Perth.  They moved to Esperance in 1979 to take up farming land and operated their business for several years before a radical encounter with Christ redirected them into a life of ministry.  After selling the property, they moved to Perth for Bible College input, and onto ministry with the Churches of Christ, church planting in the wheat belt region & oversighting church life. 

In 1995 they took up their call in Esperance and have developed a significant apostolic work planting new churches and ministering with great effect locally, regionally,  nationally and internationally .  They have been married for 36 years, and have 10 children and nine grand children.
